Dele Momodu Says Atiku Can Defeat Tinubu in 2027 Presidential Race

Dele Momodu Says Atiku Can Defeat Tinubu in 2027 Presidential Race — 1 of 2
1 / 2

In a recent interview on Nevon Media, African Democratic Congress leader Dele Momodu predicted a tough contest for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election. He expressed confidence that Atiku Abubakar, the ADC candidate, will emerge victorious. Momodu argued that if Atiku secures the bulk of northern votes while maintaining a competitive presence in the South, he could outperform both Tinubu and Peter Obi. He forecast that Atiku would win at least 25% in 26 states and dominate high-vote northern regions. Highlighting Nigeria’s constitutional requirement, Momodu noted a candidate needs the highest number of total votes plus at least 25% in two-thirds of the states. He believes Atiku is on course to meet these criteria as major contenders gear up for another face-off.
