Dino Melaye Criticises Tinubu Over Role in APC’s 2027 Campaign Council

Former lawmaker Dino Melaye has criticised President Bola Tinubu over his reported appointment as chairman of the APC’s 2027 presidential campaign council. The campaign council list reportedly names Vice President Kashim Shettima as vice chairman. Melaye described it as unusual for a presidential candidate to chair his own campaign team. In a social-media post, Melaye said the arrangement showed that Tinubu does not trust APC governors, ministers or other party leaders. He also claimed the President was afraid of his own shadow.
