Woman Arrested for Knife Attack on Maid in Umuahia

The Abia State Police Command has detained a woman shown in a viral video assaulting her maid in Umuahia. Police spokesperson DSP Maureen Chinaka confirmed the arrest on July 6 and said an investigation is ongoing. The incident took place at IBB Estate, where the suspect was captured on camera swinging a knife at the young maid and attempting to cut her throat. A neighbour recorded the attack as the maid cried for mercy. A bystander then intervened and rescued her. The suspect remains in custody as the police continue their inquiry.
