Peter Okoye Confirms Receiving $800,000 in P-Square Royalties as Jude’s Fraud Trial Continues

Peter Okoye testified at the Federal High Court in Lagos that he received about $800,000 in royalties from SACEM for P-Square songs between 2016 and 2026. He maintained that the money belonged to him and his twin brother, Paul, and that he did not pay Jude Okoye from the funds. During cross-examination, Peter acknowledged receiving royalty records from Jude in 2022. However, he disputed the claim that Jude was entitled to a share of the SACEM payments, despite confirming that the royalties came from 10 P-Square songs. Jude Okoye and Northside Music Limited are facing allegations of ₦1.3 billion and $1 million fraud brought by the EFCC. Jude has pleaded not guilty, and the case was adjourned to December 8 and 9, 2026.
