Farmer Found Dead on Cocoa Plantation in Ondo as Police Begin Investigation

A 52-year-old farmer was found dead on his cocoa plantation at Alani Camp near Supare, in Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State. He reportedly left home for his farm on September 3 but did not return. Family members and residents began a search before his body was found on a road leading to the plantation. Some harvested produce was reportedly found at the scene, leaving the motive unclear. Police evacuated the body to Iwaro General Hospital, where he was confirmed dead. An autopsy has been ordered as detectives investigate the circumstances of the death.
