The story follows his journey from his Ogbomosho roots and military training at Sandhurst to his command of the 3rd Marine Commando Division during the war. It explores the battles for Bonny, Calabar and Port Harcourt, alongside the human cost of leadership in wartime. Told in an epic third-person style, the novel presents Adekunle as more than a military legend. It examines courage, loyalty, loss and the difficult transition from war to peace.
