Adeola Gives Hunye, Marcus-Bello 24 Hours to Substantiate Ekiti Origin Claim
Ogun West Senator Solomon Adeola has given suspended APC member Abayomi Hunye and PDP chieftain Folake Marcus-Bello 24 hours to provide evidence for claims that he is from Ekiti State. Adeola said the allegation, made during separate television appearances, was false and defamatory. He also objected to comments about his family background and the burial of his parents. The senator said similar claims were used against him during the 2023 Ogun West senatorial election. He alleged that the renewed controversy is aimed at undermining his ambition ahead of the 2027 Ogun governorship election. He said the two individuals should publicly substantiate their claims or be prepared to face legal action.
