Governor Kefas Condemns Deadly Attack on Binnari Residents, Orders Manhunt

Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas has condemned the killing of residents of Binnari in Karim Lamido Local Government Area after armed men reportedly attacked the community early Friday. The governor directed security agencies to restore calm, protect lives and property, and identify everyone responsible for the attack. He said no suspect should be shielded, regardless of status. Kefas said his administration remains committed to improving security and supporting the safe return of displaced residents. He noted that ₦1 billion has been approved for the state’s peace and conflict management bureau to support recovery and peacebuilding efforts in Karim Lamido. He offered condolences to the bereaved families and urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies.
