Police Intercept 1,123 AK-47 Rounds, Arrest Three Suspects in Zamfara
Police in Zamfara State have arrested three suspects after intercepting a vehicle carrying 1,123 rounds of live 7.62mm ammunition along a checkpoint in Maru LGA. The ammunition was allegedly concealed in the vehicle. The arrests were part of operations reported across several states. In Imo, police said they recovered 13 suspected stolen motorcycles, an unregistered Toyota Sienna bus and spare parts from a criminal hideout. Police also reported arrests and recoveries linked to kidnapping, robbery, cattle rustling, vandalism and vehicle theft in Katsina, Oyo, Gombe, Delta, Kano and the FCT. The cases are under investigation by the relevant state commands.
