Adamawa Court Jails Two Men Five Years Each for Armed Robbery
A Chief Magistrate Court in Yola, Adamawa State, has sentenced Aminu Adamu and Umar Muktar to five years’ imprisonment each without an option of fine. The men, both from Shinko in Yola North LGA, pleaded guilty to conspiracy and attacking a resident of Jimeta-Yola. Prosecutors said they injured the victim with dangerous weapons and stole a phone valued at ₦235,000. The police said an investigating officer corroborated the facts of the case before Chief Magistrate M. A. Adamu delivered the sentence.
