Singapore Invites Tinubu for State Visit to Strengthen Ties With Nigeria
Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam has invited President Bola Tinubu for a state visit as both countries seek to deepen cooperation. Singapore’s UN representative, Ambassador Burhan Gafoor, delivered the invitation letter to Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim, in New York. Ibrahim said he would convey the message to President Tinubu. The discussion also covered Nigeria’s economic reforms, multilateral cooperation and development. Ibrahim said his leadership roles on key UN committees would be guided by fairness, accountability and efficiency.
