Enugu Man Allegedly Confesses to Killing Girlfriend After Argument Over HIV Infection
A 30-year-old man, Emmanuel Okpara, has allegedly confessed to killing his girlfriend, Chinenye, following an argument over allegations of HIV infection in Enugu State. In a recorded statement, Okpara said they met online in 2023 and began a relationship after Chinenye returned to Enugu from Port Harcourt in March 2026. He claimed the argument began after he made comments about curing sexually transmitted infections. He alleged that the disagreement became violent and that he was under the influence of drugs. Neighbours reportedly forced their way into his apartment three days later after noticing a foul smell and found Chinenye's body inside. The suspect also allegedly damaged her phone to prevent anyone from reaching her. The claims in the video have not been independently verified.
