Florida Math Teacher Arrested for Sexual Relationship with Student

A Florida math teacher was arrested on April 10 for allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student. The alleged affair began five months earlier through private Instagram chats. Authorities say the encounters occurred in February and March. The student’s parents became concerned when he returned home late and lied about his whereabouts. Under questioning, he admitted the relationship was with his teacher, 37-year-old Kirsten Rose of Cocoa Beach Jr/Sr High School. She faces five counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Rose is held without bond at the Brevard County Jail. Her arraignment is scheduled for May 5. The investigation is ongoing.
