Russian Missile and Drone Assault Injures 18 in Kyiv
Russia launched missiles and drones at Kyiv and other parts of Ukraine overnight, injuring at least 18 people, including two children, Ukrainian authorities said. The attack damaged residential and office buildings, warehouses, vehicles and other civilian facilities across several Kyiv districts. Emergency workers continued clearing debris and assessing the full scale of the destruction. Ukraine’s Air Force said the assault involved ballistic and cruise missiles, alongside 157 attack and decoy drones. It said air defences destroyed or suppressed 131 aerial targets, although strikes were recorded at 36 locations. Odesa and Zaporizhzhia were also hit, with further injuries and damage reported. Russia said it targeted industrial, energy and transport facilities, while Ukrainian officials reported civilian infrastructure damage.
