Vietnam, Nigeria Explore Stronger Ties in Agriculture, Technology and Trade
Vietnam says it is ready to deepen cooperation with Nigeria in agriculture, digital transformation, trade, investment and cultural exchanges as both countries mark 50 years of diplomatic relations. At a National Day reception in Abuja, Vietnam’s ambassador said the partnership could expand through high-tech farming, rice production, aquaculture, agro-processing, telecommunications infrastructure, e-commerce and financial technology. Nigeria was described as an important economic partner for Vietnam in Africa, while Vietnam could offer Nigerian businesses access to opportunities in the wider ASEAN market. Both countries also highlighted education, tourism, sports and arts exchanges as areas for stronger people-to-people ties.
