24 ISWAP Family Members Surrender in Borno After Rival Factions Clash
Twenty-four family members of suspected ISWAP fighters have surrendered to troops in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State, the Nigerian Army says. The group reportedly fled the Gasuwa and Yaganari enclaves after clashes between rival ISWAP factions. They were profiled and documented by troops of the 112 Task Force Battalion. In separate operations, troops arrested suspected terrorist collaborators in Borno, foiled a kidnapping in Kaduna, recovered weapons and rustled cattle in Plateau, and detained suspects linked to alleged cultism and illegal refining in Delta and Rivers states.
