Armed Man Arrested After Chaos at Ohio Gubernatorial Candidate Amy Acton’s Event
An armed man was arrested after allegedly forcing his way toward Ohio Democratic gubernatorial candidate Dr Amy Acton at the Canfield Fair, leaving two people injured in the resulting chaos. Authorities identified the suspect as 38-year-old Patrick Havas. He allegedly pushed volunteers and two older adults to the ground at the Mahoning County Democratic Party tent. Police said he had two concealed firearms and brass knuckles, but did not brandish the weapons. Acton’s security team detained him before fair police took him into custody. He faces two assault charges and one charge of disorderly conduct. Acton was not injured and reportedly stayed to assist one of those hurt.
