INEC to Hold Stakeholders’ Meeting on October 6 Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission will hold a World Press Conference and National Stakeholders’ Meeting in Abuja on October 6, 2026, as preparations continue for the 2027 general election. The meeting will take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre from 10:00 a.m. It will bring together political parties, security agencies, media organisations, civil society groups, religious leaders, development partners and members of the diplomatic community. INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan is expected to brief participants on the commission’s election preparations and engage stakeholders on issues affecting the electoral process. Attendance will be strictly by invitation.
