FOLA Samples Chimamanda Adichie’s Words on New Album ‘9’

Nigerian singer FOLA has incorporated spoken words by author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie into “How Many?”, the second track on his new 14-track album, ‘9’. The excerpt reflects on procrastination, fear, self-doubt and self-belief in creative work. FOLA also pays tribute to 2Baba on “Crime”, which samples elements of the veteran singer’s song “If Love Is a Crime”. Released on October 9, the album follows FOLA’s 2025 debut, ‘Catharsis’. It features Davido, Ayra Starr, BNXN, Darkoo, Bella Shmurda and Zlatan.
