Chioma Oniniwu Retracts Rape Allegation Against Footballer Victor Ebele Jnr

In a video published on September 1, 2026, she said the allegation was false and asked media platforms and blogs to remove earlier reports about the case. She said her statements had caused the player and his family emotional distress and reputational damage. The retraction follows her arrest and arraignment in Abuja over allegations including cyberbullying, defamation and making false reports. The dispute began after social-media allegations made in September 2025, while chat records released by the footballer reportedly suggested the pair had been in a consensual relationship and were in disagreement over financial and pregnancy-related claims.
