Private School Owners Ask FG to Suspend 2026/2027 Admissions Over Pending NECO, NABTEB Results
The Owners of Private Schools Association of Nigeria has asked the Federal Government to halt university admissions for the 2026/2027 academic session until all outstanding O’Level results are released. The association said some WAEC results are still pending, while NECO and NABTEB have yet to release their results. It argued that students from technical, vocational and commercial schools could be excluded if admissions continue before they can submit their results. OPSAN urged the Minister of Education to direct JAMB to pause admissions and asked the National Universities Commission to ensure universities suspend Post-UTME and admission processes. The group also called on the examination bodies to release outstanding results quickly so eligible candidates are not left behind.
