Iran Demands Sanctions Relief and Compensation Before Reopening Hormuz

Iran says it will not reopen the Strait of Hormuz until its conditions are met, including compensation for war damage, the lifting of sanctions and the release of frozen Iranian assets. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said talks with Oman on transit and management of the strategic waterway were nearing a final stage. The UAE said an ADNOC tanker was hit by a missile, while maritime authorities reported another vessel fire off Oman. The disruption has raised fresh concerns for global oil and gas supplies.
