Delta Police PPRO Says ‘Spirituality’ Explains ASP’s Alleged Extrajudicial Killing

Delta State Police spokesperson Bright Edafe has called the alleged killing of a suspect by one of his officers a “difficult moment” for the force. He said only “spirituality” can explain why the ASP acted as he did. Speaking at a press briefing in Asaba, Edafe stressed the force’s commitment to a fair investigation. He promised that any officers found guilty of misconduct will face strict disciplinary action. An internal inquiry has been launched to uncover the facts behind the incident. The police have assured the public that the findings and any resultant sanctions will be released once the probe is complete.
