Don Jazzy Names Davido, Wizkid, Simi, Teni and Falz as Artistes He Wanted to Sign

Mavin Records founder Don Jazzy has named five Nigerian artistes he wishes he had signed: Simi, Teni, Davido, Wizkid and Falz. He said he once had an opportunity to sign Davido but believed the singer would succeed on his own. He also said he was interested in Wizkid before Banky W signed him, while a potential deal with Falz did not go through. Don Jazzy added that developing a new artiste can cost about ₦50 million to ₦100 million yearly, covering music production, promotion, videos and marketing.
