APC Wins Four of Five By-Elections Held Across Four States
The All Progressives Congress won four of the five by-elections conducted on 19 September 2026, while the All Progressives Movement won the remaining seat in Bauchi State. In Gombe, APC candidate Kallamu Usman MaiJama’a won the Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency seat with 41,121 votes. The party also won the Dawakin Kudu constituency in Kano, Udu constituency in Delta and Disina constituency in Bauchi. The APM’s Adamu Yakubu won the Sakwa State Constituency election in Zaki Local Government Area of Bauchi with 8,515 votes. The APC received 3,771 votes, while the PDP and PRP scored 2,076 and 727 votes respectively.
