Taraba Police Arrest Suspects in Ambush Killing of Three Officers
The Taraba State Police Command has tracked and arrested suspects in the killing of three officers in Tse Kwe, Tor Damisa area of Donga LGA. The officers—CPL Raphael Danjuma, PC Ebenezer Daniel and PC Samuel Bawa—were ambushed and killed by militias last month. Suspects Suleman Abdullahi (30) and Idris Kauri (33), both from Akente Village, are now in custody. Police have also recovered the three stolen service firearms taken from the deceased officers. Investigations continue as the command seeks other accomplices still at large. In a separate operation at Zing Divisional Police Headquarters, officers intercepted two men riding an unregistered motorcycle at Yonko. They recovered 304 rounds of live cartridges. The suspects are assisting with the ongoing investigation. The Commissioner of Police assures residents that the command remains committed to professionalism, community policing and respect for human rights. Members of the public are urged to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
