Presidency Replies Atiku Over Tinubu ‘Dull Student’ Remark
The Presidency has criticised ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar for describing President Bola Tinubu as a dull student during a dispute over fuel-price policy. Atiku had compared Tinubu to a student copying a classmate’s answer after the Federal Government announced a 30-day fuel-price discount at NNPC filling stations. He argued that the policy resembled his proposal for a production subsidy. In response, presidential aide Sunday Dare said Tinubu was a first-class accounting graduate and dismissed Atiku’s subsidy proposal as economically unsound. Dare said the Presidency would provide figures to challenge Atiku’s position.
