Group Says Tinubu’s 30%–80% Military Pay Rise Will Boost Troop Morale

The Society Security Initiative has commended President Bola Tinubu’s approval of a 30% to 80% salary increase for members of the Armed Forces. The group said improved pay would boost troop morale, strengthen professionalism and support military operations against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping and other threats nationwide. It added that better welfare, modern equipment and sustained investment in defence are vital to improving the living conditions and effectiveness of officers and soldiers.
