Texas Woman Charged With Murder of Two Sons

A 42-year-old woman, Colleen Nichole Lemmon, has been charged with capital murder after her two sons were shot at their home in Waxahachie, Texas. Deputies responding to an early-morning emergency call found 21-year-old Christopher Scott Pitre dead and his 15-year-old brother critically wounded. The younger victim later died in hospital. Authorities said Lemmon was found injured at the scene, with a handgun nearby. Investigators say evidence gave them probable cause to believe she shot both sons. The motive has not been made public. She was treated in hospital before her arrest and is being held on a $2.5 million bond.
