Where Can I Get Serious Hands-On EV Training in Nigeria?
I have been searching for practical Electric Vehicle training in Nigeria, especially in high-voltage safety, battery diagnostics, Battery Management Systems, EV fault finding, battery pack dismantling and rebuilding. I am not looking for a short introductory seminar or a certificate-only course. As a civil servant preparing for retirement, I want a solid technical skill I can build into a second career. My search has been frustrating. I contacted private training providers and found one Abuja-based high-voltage battery course priced at about ₦1.3 million, but I was not convinced it covered the specialist practical work I need. I also explored cheaper options in India, but I still had concerns about the hands-on component, payment process and value for money. I then checked Nigerian government institutions because the country has EV occupational standards and training frameworks. However, the automotive training centre I contacted said it does not offer EV training, while several technical education contact numbers were unreachable or unhelpful. It is discouraging that someone willing to pay and learn cannot easily find reliable information about approved practical EV programmes. Please share any credible Nigerian institution offering hands-on EV training in high-voltage systems, battery diagnostics, BMS, fault diagnosis, battery repair or rebuilding. I would appreciate the location, cost, entry requirements and reliable contact details.
