Edsel Bryant Ford II, born on December 27, 1948, is a member of the Ford family and the son of former Ford Motor Company leader Henry Ford II. He studied at Babson College and later completed a management programme at Harvard Business School. He held several roles within the Ford business, including sales and marketing responsibilities at Ford Australia. He later served as president and chief operating officer of Ford Motor Credit Company and was a Ford vice-president. He spent 33 years on Ford Motor Company’s board before retiring in 2021. Ford has also been involved in aviation, civic projects and philanthropy in Detroit. He is married to Cynthia Layne Neskow and they have four sons, including Henry Ford III, who succeeded him on Ford’s board. Estimates of his personal wealth vary and are not independently confirmed.
