Troops Repel ISWAP Attack in Borno, Kill Senior Commanders
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have repelled a major ISWAP attack on military positions in Kukawa, Borno State, killing several fighters, including senior commanders, the military said. The operation took place on October 31, 2026, with ground troops supported by air assets. Those killed reportedly included Abu Hajara, described as a member of ISWAP’s Shura Council, and Abul Walid, a commander linked to the group’s leader, Ba Shuwa.
