A Realistic Study Routine for JAMB and WAEC Students
Many students make attractive timetables but abandon them after a few days. The problem is often an unrealistic plan. A useful routine should tell you what to study, give you time to answer questions and help you learn from mistakes. Set weekly targets with specific topics, such as revising quadratic equations and answering 20 questions. For each session, use three stages: understand the topic, practise without checking answers, then correct every mistake. Keep a correction notebook that records the topic, your wrong answer, the correct answer and why you missed it. Focus first on weak areas identified through short diagnostic tests. Rotate subjects through the week instead of forcing yourself to read every subject daily. Include timed objective practice for computer-based exams, while preparing written answers, diagrams, calculations and essays for WAEC and NECO. Keep the plan flexible around school, chores, transport and power cuts. If you miss a session, move the most important task forward instead of trying to recover everything in one night. A routine you can sustain for six weeks will help you more than an intense timetable that lasts only four days. What study method has helped you balance exam preparation with home and school responsibilities?
