Odumodublvck Says His Hit Song Made Declan Rice Popular in Nigeria
Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has stirred debate after saying his 2023 hit, “Declan Rice,” introduced the Arsenal midfielder to many Nigerians. Speaking on a recent podcast, the rapper said the song helped Rice “blow up” and contributed to the attention around his move from West Ham United to Arsenal. Football fans have pushed back on the claim, noting that Rice was already an England international, West Ham captain and European trophy winner before the song was released. Arsenal later used the track in its announcement of Rice’s £105 million transfer in July 2023.
