Terrorists Raid Wande Community in Kwara South: One Killed, Resident Abducted, Several Injured

Armed attackers struck Wande community in Ifelodun LGA, killing one person, abducting another and wounding several residents in a fresh night‐time raid. A security source said the gunmen, believed to have been driven out of Yaru by an earlier patrol, opened fire before fleeing with their captive. One victim suffered a serious head injury after being struck with a rifle butt, while others were rushed to hospital in Igbaja. Locals warn that Kwara South has become a growing bandit hotspot, with many rural villages now deserted. Plans by a regional security network to visit the state were recently suspended after officials allegedly blocked the trip.
