Kano Fire Service Rescues Man and Cow From Old Well in Makoda

The Kano State Fire Service rescued a 40-year-old man and his cow after both became trapped in an old well at Sabon Ruwa Village in Makoda Local Government Area. The cow reportedly fell into the well, prompting its owner, Badamasi Ibrahim, to climb down in an attempt to save it. He was unable to get back out and began experiencing breathing difficulties. Firefighters from the Danbatta emergency response unit arrived after a distress report was made and rescued both the man and the animal alive. Residents have been advised not to enter wells during emergencies and to contact rescue personnel immediately.
