Cameroonian Model Solange Omon Makes Victoria’s Secret Runway Debut
Solange Omon, a 21-year-old model from Cameroon, made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut in Los Angeles after winning the brand’s Angels Among Us open casting competition. Omon reportedly emerged from more than 100,000 applicants to secure a one-year modelling contract with IMG Models and a place on the global runway. She appeared in illuminated gold wings and a metallic train during the show. Before modelling gained national attention, Omon balanced university studies with community work in Maine, where she supported Black and immigrant teenagers with job applications, mentorship and higher-education opportunities. Her runway appearance has been celebrated as a notable moment for African representation in international fashion.
