MTN Nigeria’s Half-Year Profit Rises 70.6% to ₦707.5 Billion

MTN Nigeria reported a 70.6% increase in profit after tax for the half-year ended June, despite persistent macroeconomic pressure. Profit after tax rose to ₦707.5 billion, while earnings per share reached ₦33.70. Service revenue grew 25.9% to ₦3 trillion and EBITDA rose 39.2% to ₦1.7 trillion. The EBITDA margin increased by 5.3 percentage points to 55.9%. The company’s subscriber base grew 8.9% to 92.2 million, while active data users rose 9.3% to 55.7 million, reflecting continued demand for data and digital services. MTN Nigeria also declared an interim dividend of ₦26 per share.
