The chairman of the Military Pension Board, Air Vice Marshal Mikail Abdulraheem, has been replaced following a dispute with retired military officers over pension calculations and unpaid entitlements. The veterans had protested at the board’s headquarters, blocking its main gate and alleging that new pension structures created unfair disparities in their payments. A meeting between both sides reportedly ended in a shouting match without an agreement. Sources said the confrontation embarrassed the military high command and the Presidency.
