10 Years in Business but Still Not Ahead? It May Be Time to Build Leverage
After 10 years in business, it is normal to wonder why your hard work has not produced the results you expected. But time spent surviving, solving daily problems, finding customers and managing cash flow is not always the same as sustained business growth. The issue may not be a lack of effort. You could be operating a model with a ceiling: buy stock, sell, restock, pay expenses and repeat. This can generate income while leaving little capital, structure or assets behind. The next stage may require more than selling harder. Build systems, train staff, retain corporate customers, strengthen supplier relationships, document processes and create income that does not depend entirely on your personal effort. Your first decade gave you valuable experience. The important question now is: what should the next 10 years produce that the first 10 did not?
