Okonkwo Urges Tinubu to Resign Over Insecurity, Not Seek Re-election in 2027
ADC chieftain Kenneth Okonkwo has urged President Bola Tinubu to resign rather than seek re-election in 2027, citing insecurity and the administration’s performance. Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, Okonkwo criticised what he described as efforts to weaken opposition parties following the overturned Federal High Court judgment on the ADC’s deregistration. He pointed to recurring killings and kidnappings in Plateau, Benue, Oyo and Kaduna states. Okonkwo shared an account of a worker whose mother was allegedly abducted and injured after the family could not meet a ransom demand.
