The Weight of Unspoken Thoughts

I stared into space until her playful voice pulled me back. She noticed how often I drifted into negative thoughts and asked what was bothering me. I tried to explain that the things haunting me always seemed to come from the same place. No matter how much I talked about them, hated them, or tried to escape them, nothing appeared to change. It felt like I was destined to keep dancing around the shadows of my fears. She did not have all the answers, but her presence grounded me. She shared a simple reminder: if there is a problem and I can do something about it, I should act. If I cannot change it, worrying will not help. We laughed at her calling herself a sage sent to teach me mindfulness. Time passed quickly, unaware that the reaper was quietly waiting in its luggage. Rest in peace.
