Tinubu Knows the Cost of Eggs and Bread, Presidential Aide Says
A presidential aide, Abiodun Essiet, says President Bola Tinubu receives regular briefings on the rising cost of everyday food items, including eggs and bread. Speaking in Abuja, Essiet said government officials communicate the hardship faced by Nigerians directly to the President. She said infrastructure remains a key part of the administration’s development plans. She cited the Mokwa-Bida road in Niger State, which residents have long called for to be repaired. According to her, the President directed that the road be reconstructed with reinforced concrete to improve its durability. Vice President Kashim Shettima had earlier said food prices could fall in the coming weeks as the government addresses agricultural challenges.
