Trump, Vance and Former Presidents Mark 25 Years Since 9/11 Attacks
President Donald Trump is attending a Pentagon ceremony to mark 25 years since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, which killed nearly 3,000 people in New York, Virginia and Pennsylvania. Vice President JD Vance, former Presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton are expected at remembrance events. Families of victims will also gather at the 9/11 memorial in Lower Manhattan. New York City has scheduled moments of silence to coincide with the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the crash of Flight 93. Security has been tightened around the memorial as the city honours victims, first responders, survivors and people who later died from 9/11-related illnesses.
