Konga Yakata Sale: This Laptop’s Price Rose While Its Discount Jumped to 57%
I compared the listed price of an Asus laptop before and during Konga’s Yakata sale, and the figures left me concerned. On October 28, the laptop was listed at ₦1,204,736, down from an original price of ₦1,509,503. This was presented as a 20% discount. When I checked again on November 2, after the Yakata sale began, the selling price had increased to ₦1,244,022. Its stated original price had also risen to ₦2,892,353, and the advertised discount became 57%. The laptop cost ₦39,286 more during the sale, despite the much larger discount claim. Buyers should compare actual prices before relying on sale percentages. Screenshots are attached.
