Davido Credits Childhood Friend Lati for Helping Launch His Music Career

Davido has credited his childhood friend, Lati, with playing a major role in the early development of his music career. During a livestream with Carter Efe, the Afrobeats star said Lati worked for his late mother and remained close to him after her death. Davido recalled that Lati would secretly drive him to recording studios when he was younger. “Without Lati, there is no Davido,” the singer said, adding that Lati also made music and worked as a DJ.
