Texas Executes Man Convicted of Killing Three During 2005 Robbery Attempt
Texas has executed LeJames Norman for the 2005 shooting deaths of three people during an attempted robbery in Edna, southwest of Houston. Court records said Norman and another man went to the home believing cocaine was hidden there. They did not find any drugs. Norman was later arrested while trying to return to the United States from Mexico. He was executed by lethal injection at the state penitentiary in Huntsville. The execution was Texas' fifth of the year.
