Aniekwe Urges Calm as Aguleri-Umuoba Anam Boundary Tensions Rise

The lawmaker representing Anambra East and West has appealed for calm over renewed boundary tensions between Aguleri and Umuoba Anam. He urged traditional rulers, community leaders, youths and residents to embrace dialogue and obey directives issued by the Anambra East Local Government authorities. He warned that further violence could disrupt livelihoods, damage property and slow development in both neighbouring communities. He also called for support for security agencies and the state boundary committee’s efforts to reach a lasting settlement.
