Kuje Area Council Chairman Danjuma Samuel Shekwolo has responded to backlash over a viral video in which he was reported to have said residents must support the APC or leave Kuje. Shekwolo said the remark was taken out of context. He explained that the meeting was with APC youths and loyalists and was focused on administrative efficiency, local development and community welfare. The chairman said he has no power to deny any Kuje resident their constitutional rights. He pledged inclusive governance and said the council will serve residents regardless of political affiliation, ethnicity or religion. He also urged journalists to verify the full context of statements before publication and called on residents to work with the council to promote Kuje’s development.
