Wike Inspects Key Abuja Roads, Says N16 Project Set for January Completion
FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has inspected several ongoing road projects in Abuja, including the Arterial Road SI in Kaura, the Life Camp Collector Road C2, Arterial Road N16 and Jereton Mariere Street in Gudu. Wike said the projects are intended to reduce traffic congestion and open up surrounding districts for development. He expressed confidence that the N16 road, which includes major bridge works and difficult terrain, would be completed in the first week of January. The minister also said the renovated IBB Golf Course should be ready to host major tournaments by November. According to him, the 2026 FCT capital budget has reached 60 per cent performance, with contractor funding now stabilised after earlier delays.
